The founder of Applewood Air Conditioning believes passionately in providing personal, friendly service to the building community.

He also believes that the best way to offer prompt, professional service is to stay family run and family operated.

George Gronwall, founder and president, has watched as many heating and air conditioning operations in southern Ontario have been bought out by large American mega-firms. George maintains that the southern Ontario building community needs independent companies like his to provide customized service-and to keep prices competitive.

"At Applewood, there is no international corporate structure to work your way through," says George. "We have no out-of-town executives to report to or hide behind.

"If you need an answer to a question, phone me. I'll take your call personally"

George says he build his company to have something to pass onto his children, and he is passing his philosophy of personal service onto them as well.

"My son David and daughter Lori are hands-on, just like I am," says George.

"Just call and ask them. They take calls personally too!"
